I’ve been to RETECH 2013 over a number of years. It’s not unusual to see optimism about renewables (after all, Retech = renewable technologies!).
One such optimist came from Recurrent Energy. Here are two images (from one slide) of his presentation:

I was admitted to RETECH 2013 (held in D.C.) on a press pass, and obtained access to the PowerPoint slides presented — even to sessions I did not attend.
