This is a half-interesting fact (and graphic), found on The Big Picture blog.
HERE IS THE PROBLEM WITH THIS:
(a) what was the same metric one year ago? In 2009? In 2007?
(b) Without context, all of this is just a factolito . . . interesting, but worthless.
(c) Barry Ritholtz is a great blogger, but he has a full time job. I’m sure if he had had the time, there would be some kind of historical info here.
But still: Standing alone, it means . . . little.
