I cannot believe it has begun already! I saw the first corn of the year out of the field already and that means that harvest has officially begun. Along with harvest this year goes safety concerns. This year especially, being an extra dry year, farmers should consider the real threat of fires aboard their combines. A good practice would be to carry a couple of fire extinguishers aboard and check them for readines of operation and functionality before hitting the fields. Turn the fire extinguisher upside down and pound on the bottom of the extinguisher with your hand to shake up the settled material within. Have them checked if you're not sure if they are up to date or replace them if needed.
