Hurricane Warnings For New Orleans as Hurricane Issac Rolls In...Be Prepared!

Hurricane warnings are up for New Orleans and Mississippi as a CAT 1 hurricane (Issac) rockets through bath-temperature gulf waters and has, for a second time, come ashore. The movement is slightly west to north westerly, but it is not expected to move much over the next 24 hours. It is expected to have intensifying rains up to 20 inches before the storm passes. The storm surges have been over 12 feet and have topped the first levy. The impact of the storm will be broad with flooding rains, tornadoes, and high winds, as is already in progress early this morning. The time to act is now and I've included some preparedness tips for those in the hurricane's path. This area remembers Katrina all to well seven years ago, so get to safety!
