If you own a window air conditioner and have ever had it freeze up, this is for you. You know what I'm talking about, right? The coils frost up and the air is restricted from flowing through the coils, lessening or even blocking the air flow. It could be as simple as the freon level is low in the unit, but it may also be as simple as operator error. Yes, you could be the cause of the problem! If you run the fan on low speed, it can actually cause the unit to freeze the coils due to insufficient airflow.
