SSL = what some people use to refer to the solid-stated lighting stuff. Here on EleBlog, we generally use LED (and, when appropriate, OLED).
As March ended, the DOE’s SSL people posted a PDF that provided a tour of the LED-oriented website, after an update (giving it “a fresh look, expanded content areas, and a new focus on our SSL program news & events.”
It’s worth your time.
